This Belgian painter, etcher, and engraver was a student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. A veteran of the 1914-1918 war. Co-founder of Uccle Center d'Art, president, then honorary president. Professor at the Institute of Arts and Crafts of Nivelles. Member of the International Academy "Leonardo da Vinci" in Rome. He met Edgar P. Jacobs through his son, Henri Auguste Quittelier, for the first time in 1919. There followed numerous artistic exchanges between the two masters until the painter's death.
